About

Regence - Louis XV carved and giltwood mirror - aux Chimères with parcloses or high panels. The arched cresting centered by a cartouche, issuing foliate C-scrolls and flowers garlands, above a shaped outer frame with a rococo ornamentation, such as moldered gadroons, flowers and acanthus leaves. End of the Regence - beginning of the reign of Louis XV circa 1730. The asymmetrical upper part of our mirror leads us to link it to the beginning of the reign of Louis XV and more exactly, to the period called Rococo, in the 1730's.
