The Ferrari 275 Nart Spider is probably the most legendary Ferrari convertible. Rare and legendary, this vintage automobile was produced as early as 1967 by importer Ferrari in the US, Luigi Chinetti, Enzo Ferrari not wishing to manufacture this vehicle. The creator of the North American Racing Team had built only ten cars (including the first two with aluminum bodies, the next ones with a steel case) manufactured by the Pininfarina subcontractor, Scaglietti coachbuilder, on a base of Ferrari 275 GTB coupe. The Chinetti Nart team will engage the first Nart spider at the 12h of Sebring 1967, finishing first in the Ferrari and second in the GTS category. The Nart spider and its bump hood characteristic of the 300 horsepower engine is mechanically identical to the 275 GTB/4, with a 3.3-liter V12 with 6 Weber carburettors, 4 camshafts and a 5-speed gearbox. With an independent four-wheel suspension, it had a similar GTB interior instrumentation, with two large meters and six small ones. The Ferrari spider Nart, with a rating now exceeding 20 million euros, is today more untraceable than a 250 GTO.
The rebuilding of the Nart 1968 spider which we propose for sale, on a basis of 330 GT, is exceptional for its remanufacturing work, in full respect of origin, in terms of dimensions and technical characteristics, and only with original Ferrari vintage parts. The 4 liter engine of the 330 develops here more than 320 horsepower for a maximum speed of nearly 260 km/h. This vehicle in perfect condition, built with respect for perfection, represents the unique opportunity to acquire the most legendary Ferrari cabriolet at a reasonable price.
