Armet with removable visor (Burgonet type), Haute Epoque helmet whose origin comes from Burgundy. This helmet (sometimes called a burgundian sallet), head element of body armor was a Renaissance-era and early modern combat helmet. It is the successor to the sallet, the round shape helmet worn in the 15th and 16th century helmet round and by the great helm or heaume. Central crest in hight relief on the helmet. Embossing pattern and setting of rivets on front, carved frieze on the visor. Classic period, 17th century militaria.
Really good condition. Strongly oxidized. No restorations. Small lack of material
