Full bronze standing Buddha of Lan Chang, former province of the Kingdom of Thailand, Asian Thai statue of the 15-16th century, with eyes in solid silver and hands in position of pacification of the ocean (Pra Bang Lao). The hairstyle and the shape of the ears are characteristic of the Thai style of this period. The manufacturing of this pieces of art of the Lan Chang Buddha started in mid 14th century AD during the reign of King Fah Ngum the Great. These Buddha sculptures of human figure were created for Hinayana Buddhism, Lanka branch. This craftsmanship is considered the prominent feature of Lan Chang Kingdom's arts and emphatically reflects the ideology of the people's freedom.
