Baroque bench with Louis XIV style woman's head

4 950 €

Beautiful Baroque style bench, transition 17-18th century. The central motif of this highly ornamental piece of furniture represents two interlaced coats of arms and letters, probably the initials of the owners. It is surmounted by a semicircular pediment in the Louis XIV style tradition with a woman's head sculpted in a round and framed with a stylized acanthus. Numerous motifs of volutes, acanthus, flowers, interlacing and other stylized capitals punctuate the decoration of the backrest, armrests or jambs, the seat being underlined by a long draped pattern with ornamental tuft.
